Outline For Basketball

logbook at the Chelsea Flower Show 2010 (2)

Let snob and do choosy: the 2010 exhibition seemed a little less bold, and somewhat less dense than in previous years. One year a little down compared to wild achievements of previous years.

quick tour of some garden designs that caught our attention.
Sublime Japanese garden to begin. Cave completely covered with foam sewn onto a structure. Roundness and softness of the forms for this very green wall "haute couture". Water seepage. Japanese maples and ferns hanging on the walls.
The uniqueness of the realization that the aquatic ambience emerges. Water flows over a roof and translucent vertical waterfalls. Movement in the water flowing. Play of light with the sun, Radiation playing with the movements of water and reflects off the foam. Strange feeling of cave diving and exotic at once! The art of shoving our views!
Dream of Asia and Indonesia. The basin occupies the entire space, water dominates. Vegetation and traffic islands are treated in white on the water. We particularly like the rhythm given to the gradual rise towards the alcove, the idea of water taxi, the abundance of exotic plantations in contrast with the horizontality of the water and islands. The calm, soothing feeling without monotony thanks to the play of oppositions (Black / white, horizontal / vertical straightness / expansion). The green wall that surrounds the pool and resumes look towards the bottom.

A tendency to develop in the proposed garden: the living room outdoors. A true lounge set around a kitchen / barbecue. Sofa fabric in water-resistant. Shelving for wood. And vegetation that interferes with the structure. Here, in a small area, the idea is to bury the interesting part. An extra privacy from neighbors. The feeling of being at the heart of the vegetation.

Bring the glass and the effects of color in the garden. Interesting proposal from roof suddenly brings a unique atmosphere, unreal by the play of light.

Directed classic but beautiful. We love the treatment basin: elongated, narrow pool of unusual proportion. Elegance of purple soil that meets the blue water. Game between wild and domesticated nature: the undergrowth recreated and clipped box. We like the brightness, clarity brought by the white birch trees and flowers. The lightness of the Umbelliferae which offsets the earthy character of boxwood. The eye never tires through the contrasts that are worked very subtly. The icing on the cake: the perfect proportions perspective offset from the basin of the garden shed.

How Long Do You Take Trimethoprim?

Logbook Chelsea Flower Show 2010 (1)

Welcome to the Chelsea Flower Show 2010!

May 28: Here we are en route for London and the Chelsea Flower Show 2010. One of the largest exhibitions on garden and landscape design. And under the sun!

One of our favorite shows. A large burst of energy and inventiveness. Incredible achievements made gardens in the grounds of Royal Hospital of Chelsea. We see everything from beautiful classical gardens beautifully made, synchronized to be at their peak for these three days of May, to the most innovative.

Here the natural pool built with a sluice gate.
Chelsea is also the crowd and the atmosphere so British. Mixture of kitsch and luxury. Boldness and freedom in hats, clothing, as in the creations of garden.

Here the garden is a cult. The luxuriant nature. The humor never far away. Lewis Carroll and Alice in Wonderland, but especially James Barrie, Peter Pan's dad are English and it shows. The universe is often wonderful, baroque, full of elves and gnomes. A big tradition that inspires us often.
For us this is THE show of the garden and decoration. The salon is buzzing with ideas and creativity from England but also the 4 corners of the world. Japan, France Australia ...
is also a fascinating exhibition Quality Growers végétauxqui exhibit there. To find new varieties, rarities, curiosities.

And all this in a flawless direction!
